To sharpen your acrylic blade, follow these simple steps:
1. Choose your sandpaper. For a sharp edge, we recommend using between 800 and 2000 grit. You can find sandpaper at your local hardware store or online. Wet sanding is recomended when possible.
2. Secure the sandpaper to a flat block. Use a piece of metal or wood, as sanding sponges can dull the blade. Make sure the sandpaper is tightly attached to the block so it doesn't move around.
3. Hold the blade at the same angle as its bevel and use a circular motion as you move it across the sandpaper. Start with the lowest grit and work your way up to the highest grit for a sharper edge.
4. If you want a very sharp blade, work up to 2000 grit. If you only need to remove wax or lightly sharpen the blade, 800 grit should be sufficient.
5. Always be careful when handling sharp objects. Point the blade away from your body as you sharpen it.
By following these steps, you can keep your acrylic blade sharp and in good condition for all your cutting needs.
